What it covers
Effective August 2026, TESU lists full-time flat tuition for 9–18 credits per term at $3,595 for New Jersey residents or $4,652 for out-of-state students. Fewer than nine credits use per-credit tuition; credits above 18 add an overload charge. Other fees and remaining degree requirements still apply.
Income / financial rules
This is a tuition/completion route, not a guaranteed scholarship or income-based award. Ask TESU for the personal tuition/fee plan and financial-aid eligibility; separate ordinary tuition from Edison Accelerate and other charges.
Who to check first
Applicants need a high-school diploma, GED or qualifying home-school diploma. The standard route is age 20 or older; applicants at least 16 may demonstrate the listed self-direction criteria, with an orientation route for those who do not meet those criteria. Specific degrees may add requirements.
Application timing
Confirm the intended term and current registration/refund calendar with TESU. Admission and an academic evaluation come before a reliable remaining-course plan; no single degree-completion application deadline is established here.

Check your eligibility

Some items describe alternative routes rather than requirements for everyone. Use the route that applies to you as a preparation checklist; the program makes the eligibility decision.

How to apply

  1. 1
Apply for the intended undergraduate degree and arrange official transcripts and applicable training/license/certification documents for evaluation. Applying does not guarantee admission.
  2. 2
After the evaluation, meet an advisor to review MyProgress, remaining courses and graduation requirements. TESU says waiting for the evaluation before choosing courses helps identify what remains.
  3. 3
Ask the advisor for both a course-based completion plan and, if applicable, an Edison Accelerate quote. The current page lists $3,468 to reduce the credit-hour residency requirement to six required course credits, SOS-1100 and capstone; those courses and all other degree requirements still need completion.
  4. 4
Obtain an itemized current tuition/fee quote, including application and graduation costs. The August-2026 fee table lists a $50 application fee and $98 graduation audit fee; other circumstances can add charges.

What to watch for

Edison Accelerate is an additional charge, not a six-credit degree price. Its current page uses a 15-credit threshold and has a 15-month/additional-fee note with unclear wording. Confirm applicability, timing and possible repeat charges in writing with an advisor; do not reuse an old 16-credit waiver quote.
Changing credit load can change the bill: dropping below nine credits before the term starts recalculates tuition at the part-time rate. The flat-rate refund policy has time-dependent limits; review it before registering or withdrawing.
