Find school cost references and calculator links

Search institutions with undergraduate offerings reported in the 50 states and DC. Compare up to three historical cost references, keep their different years and populations clear, and use the school’s own guidance for your actual next step.

Keep the years and populations attached. Institution directory, reporting year 2024 · Student financial aid and net price, 2022–23 · Academic-year tuition and fees, 2023–24. These are reported historical references. Most calculator addresses are reported in that directory and need current confirmation. Selected schools also have separately reviewed guidance below, with the review scope and stated estimator year kept distinct. Neither a located page nor a historical figure verifies your current price or aid.

Location uses the institution’s reported directory address; the source year is shown with the results. It does not establish your residency rate, online study availability or programme approval.

Where to start

STEP 1

Find the exact institution and campus

Search its reported name or abbreviation, city or UNITID. Use location/type/level to narrow the directory, while keeping branch campuses separate. A school’s reported address does not determine your residency rate or where an online programme may enroll you.

STEP 2

Check the cohort, period and source status

Read the net-price population and year separately from annual tuition. Keep in-district, in-state and out-of-state charges distinct. Missing, corrected, imputed, zero and negative source values have different meanings; a historical average is not your award.

STEP 3

Get a current estimate for your route

Use separately reviewed school guidance where available, and check its scope and stated estimator year. Other links retain their historical directory context. Transfer, part-time, graduate and international routes can need a different quote; ask for itemized costs and the actual aid offer before planning.

How to use these figures

The net-price groups describe full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates awarded Title IV aid. Public standard-calendar figures use the in-state/in-district tuition population. Title IV can include borrowers, while the net-price calculation subtracts the specified grant and scholarship aid from cost of attendance. Loans are not discounts. Living-arrangement rules and the selected group affect the statistic.

Academic-year and largest-programme amounts do not cover the same period. For the other Title IV field family, the lookup identifies the reporting basis from the school’s separately dated institutional calendar, with its source year shown in the reference; this is context to confirm, not a reason to rank every amount as an annual price. Schools with missing records stay unknown.

Values are reported unless a different NCES status is shown. Corrected, imputed and implied-zero statuses retain their source labels. Negative reported statistics remain negative and do not establish a personal refund. A school’s current calculator, itemized programme quote and actual aid offer serve a different purpose from these cohort averages.

Transfer students, returning adults, part-time learners, international applicants and graduate students should confirm whether the school’s calculator applies to their route. Use the degree planner for a school-confirmed remaining-work quote, or the reviewed degree guide for named online programme decisions.

Questions before you apply

Is a school’s average net price what I will personally pay?

The average describes a specified historical student group. Your entry route, residency, enrollment, household information, living arrangement and actual aid can differ. Use the appropriate school estimate, current itemized quote and actual aid offer.

Why do net price and tuition show different years?

They come from separately dated official components. This edition retains 2022–23 net-price data, 2023–24 annual undergraduate tuition and a 2024 directory. The source review date does not make those amounts current or directly comparable.

Does the state map show everywhere a programme is available?

The map filters the school’s reported institutional location. It is not a programme-location, authorization, residency or online-availability determination. Check the named programme’s actual conditions and use your state funding guide separately.

Can I use a negative figure as a refund or a blank as free tuition?

A negative reported average is a historical statistic, not a promised refund. A missing or inapplicable figure remains unavailable, while an explicit zero retains its source status. Neither establishes that your full cost is zero.

Are the school links checked as current net-price calculators?

Most addresses come from the historical directory. Selected schools also have dated reviews of guidance pages, calculator welcome screens or an aid-office referral. Each note states the scope and whether an estimator year was confirmed. These reviews do not validate a personal result, current price or admission.
