CNA training: paid jobs, approved courses and remaining costs

Begin with an actual employer or approved course, then check what its offer pays for. The Providence Alaska and Spokane examples below have different funding models. A training-location filter helps you inspect collected examples; it does not establish residency, admission or a seat. Use the state guide and funding routes for additional local research.

Where to start

STEP 1

Choose a class or an employment offer

Ask whether you are registering as a student or being hired into a paid training position. Get the training dates, covered expenses and work expectations in writing before comparing a sponsored offer with a self-pay class.

STEP 2

Verify the correct state approval and exams

Check the state-approved course and the separate competency process for where you plan to work. A course completion certificate, an employer’s job title and state certification can represent different steps.

STEP 3

Budget beyond the advertised tuition

Ask about the written and skills exams, application, background check, scrubs, shoes, transport and missed work. Record only confirmed amounts, and check the cancellation and repayment terms before paying.

Questions before you apply

Are all Providence CNA courses paid training?

Compare the actual location and offer. The Alaska employment route and Spokane course described below are separate programmes. Paying for a class does not itself establish a paid Providence position.

Can I use the federal nurse-aide training protection?

Open the qualifying nurse-aide training record in the funding section below and check the facility, employment/offer timing and covered-cost conditions. The protection is not a blanket voucher for every independent course.

What if no example appears in my state?

This is a reviewed example collection. An empty local result is a research gap, not a statement that your state has no courses. Use your state guide, approved-provider register and job centre to find and verify another option.

Check funding where you live

These state guides include the aid collected so far and national starting points. Confirm the specific provider and programme are approved before enrolling.

Build your own cost breakdown

Use an actual offer or provider quote for tuition, exams, background checks, materials, transport and other expenses. An advertised maximum award or occupational median is not a personal cost or starting-pay estimate.
