OR · LOCAL SCOPE

Oregon Opportunity Grant

For 2026–27, full-time/full-year award ranges are $1,224–$4,320 at community colleges, $1,656–$7,092 in community-college BAS programmes, and $1,800–$8,352 at four-year institutions. Actual amounts vary by SAI, institution and enrollment.

Condition to check first

Ordinarily be an Oregon resident for 12 months before college, not admitted to the U.S. for education; members of Native American tribes with traditional ties to Oregon may have a conditional out-of-state residency route. Undocumented/DACA students can qualify under the full conditions.

Application timing

2026–27: final FAFSA/ORSAA submission date May 15, 2026, now closed. For 2027–28, file the matching form starting October 2026 and check OSAC for that cycle’s limits and cutoff; no final date for it is established here.

Where to start

STEP 1

Compare the named tuition waivers

Open the UC and Fort Lewis records side by side. Compare who the benefit serves, the institution you must attend and which charges remain.

STEP 2

Check the required affiliation

Confirm any tribal enrollment, institutional or other eligibility documentation directly with the award administrator.

STEP 3

Compare state and college options

Look at the state guide and the college’s own financial-aid instructions alongside the targeted opportunity.

Amounts are conditional. National options are pathways to investigate, not confirmation that a local provider has an opening.
