RI Reconnect Adult Education Navigators

Free connection to an educational navigator for returning to college or training, FAFSA help and a personal education plan. Some non-tuition barrier costs may be approved after a needs assessment; the FAQ explicitly says the programme does not cover tuition or programme fees.

Condition to check first

Rhode Island adults aged 21 or older facing significant barriers to returning to school and continuing degree- or certificate-bearing education may be eligible. The navigator must review the actual circumstances.

Application timing

Navigator requests begin through the short assessment; the page quotes 3–4 business days for follow-up and does not establish a universal application closing date.

Where to start

STEP 1

Check the professional and arrival criteria

Read the coaching record’s degree or training, U.S. arrival and English requirements before starting the official application.

STEP 2

Verify the right service

Compare one-to-one coaching eligibility with the provider’s broader learning resources instead of assuming the same conditions apply to both.

STEP 3

Plan the qualification separately

Ask the appropriate licensing or credential body about the qualification you need; career coaching is a different part of the process.

Amounts are conditional. National options are pathways to investigate, not confirmation that a local provider has an opening.

Questions before you apply

Does this service grant a professional license or guarantee a job?

Read the actual service and cautions on the program record. Confirm licensing with the responsible body and employment through the relevant hiring process.

Should I send immigration or identity documents to this directory?

Applications and any document verification happen on the official provider’s website. FreeCheapEdu does not collect those documents or make an immigration eligibility decision.
