Check your eligibility

Some items describe alternative routes rather than requirements for everyone. Use the route that applies to you as a preparation checklist; the program makes the eligibility decision.

How to apply

  1. 1
Start with Wyoming’s official public-college directory to choose your college, then obtain that campus’s current Wyoming Works approved-programme list. A college being in the directory does not mean every course qualifies.

  2. 2
Outside LCCC, Casper’s reviewed 2026–27 page lists approved routes including Cybersecurity, Certified Nursing Assistant and Welding. Use its separate Apply Now action, file annual FAFSA and apply before the first class day; confirm your exact credential and available funding.

  3. 3
Apply to LCCC in the actual approved degree/credential and complete enrollment steps; submit annual FAFSA and share it with LCCC. A general admission application alone does not apply for this grant.
  4. 4
Submit the separate Wyoming Works grant application before the first class day of the intended semester. Applications after classes begin are considered for the following semester; the source explicitly says 2026–27 applications are open.

What to watch for

Space/funding is limited and funding is only guaranteed for one year, despite the maximum six-semester eligibility. This is LCCC’s programme/rate list; do not assume the same programme or award at every community college.
Hathaway eligibility prevents automatically choosing/stacking Wyoming Works. Transfers must immediately enter another approved programme while maintaining the stated continuous-enrollment conditions.
For a transfer out of Casper, request its Wyoming Works transfer transcript. The receiving college must confirm an approved programme; the directory is a navigation aid, not evidence of a currently funded seat everywhere.
